Time contracts as the shadows grow
Months fly by, yet sleep comes slow
The bricks are old, but this pain is new,
A disordered house, with it’s walls of blue
But unlock the door, pull back the blinds
let sun pour in, we can light the fire,
I’d guild these walls with leaves of gold,
Yet the cracks remain, and in comes the cold
I relive days that are no more,
A hopeless case so close the door,
We once had truth, now all is lost
Absent dreams, glass cracked with frost
3 am is the darkest hour,
no sleep, no light, no peace, no power.
Just my shadow, still dressed in black,
Still haunting me, my old friend is back.
